WATER, FOAM SHAPES AND GLASS DOOR = COOL CLEAN INDOOR FUN!

It's been so hot outside so we have been doing some indoor fun activities. Here is one my children LOVED!

Materials needed:
Foam sheets
Foam Brushes
Cup / Bowl of Water
Towels
Windows or Glass Sliding Doors
With the foam sheets, cut them into fun shapes

Here the pictures that will explain it better!
With the foam brushes have the child paint the glass, then have the child place the foam shapes on the water - viola they stick! Easy clean up - plus my glass doors got cleaned while they played!

Then they placed the foam shapes in the foam sheet that the shapes came out of. Plus my 6 year old made up a game to play with his 3 year old brother, matching colors, etc.

Plus they are re-usable, let them dry and use again!

Actually I cut some animal foam shapes over a year ago and gave them to my kids to play with in the bath tub where they stuck them to the tile on the wall of the tub.

I've cut fun-foam shapes for the tub, but never thought about a window activity. That could be a great story extender!

Great idea! We too have foam shapes for the tub but I never thought to let the boys stick them on our sliders. Thanks for linking to Montessori Monday. :)

Love it! We bought our son some foam shapes for the bathtub and they stick to the sides and my son loves it. I never thought about using them to play outside of the bath. We have a big bay window in our living room and this would work great.

We use them in the tub, but be sure to not leave them sitting otherwise the color will bleed & you need to get a magic eraser out.

Such a fun idea! We have some Foam ABC's that i let my kids play with in the bathtub. When my boys were little, they used to do the same thing, but put the ABC's on the Wall of the bath tub. They stuck there too! lol. So they would write out a bunch of different words or just have them all jumbled together.

I think my daughter would love to have some Foam animals as soon as she's old enough to understand you can't "eat" them! lol.

I'm sooooo going to do this Nicole! This will be so much fun for both my 21 month old and 5 year old! Pinning this to remind myself to shop for foam sheets!!

What a great game for a day when the weather is not so nice and the kids have to stay inside to play. Gives them something new to do and interact with. FUN!

What a great idea, I love that it's mess free. My kids are like little tornado's so anything with little to no cleanup is a win in my book

Fabulous idea. Esp on cold days when the condensation is on the glass screen door. Love that cleanup is a cinch too

Thanks for allowing me here to say my reaction/comment, but all I can say is this blogsite shows that using interior glass doors is good for the sake of children.
