Looking for the perfect snack or appetizer for a party, gathering or just have a craving or a nice crunchy delicious snack? Bagel Chips can be served in so many types of ways, maybe with some cream cheese smeared over the tops or on a platter with fresh veggies and humus. Or instead of crackers add a slice of cheese on top! Or like my kids they like to eat them straight out of the bag!
The New York Style Bagel Chips come in 7 flavors - Roasted Garlic, Sea Salt, Plain, Cinnamon Raisin, Everything, Sesame, Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper. And now they are available in a Mini Size. The Mini morsels with mighty flavor have 50% less fat and 18% fewer calories than leading potato chips. The Mini Bagel Chips come in 4 flavors - BBQ, Sea Salt, Garlic and Cheddar.
Aside from serving Bagel Chips as a snack how about using them as part of the main ingredient? I am really bad about making sure i have all the ingredients before I prepare a meal so most times I wing it or substitute.
I decided to have Italian night at our home making Chicken Parmesan and pasta but I didn't have any bread crumbs to bread my chicken before baking. So my solution...... See for yourself.
I poured Roasted Garlic Bagel Chips into a big sealed bag and pounded them finely.
So they look like this.....
Dip the chicken in egg, coating it on both sides
Place the chicken in the baggie and shake so that the chicken is coated with the Bagel Chip bread crumbs
Bake for 45 minutes on 450
The last few moments of baking add marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
Bagel Chips coated nicely on the chicken and made a perfect breading plus the roasted garlic flavor definitely gave it an Italian twist that my whole family enjoyed!
The possibilities are endless with these yummy Bagel Chips!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had bagel chips in forever but I love them! The chicken looks delish too but I'd totally be sad to crunch up those bagel chips to make it, LOL. I'm going to have to pick some up next time I'm at the store. :)
