As a mom all my children are very dear and special to me all for different reasons. My 2nd son has a special place not just because he's my son but because I had a miscarriage before him at 11 weeks. That shook my world and I was devastated. Shortly after I got pregnant again and at first I was reluctant to be excited because I was scared of another loss. When the OB told me my due date was the same day I had my D and C with the miscarriage it was a confirmation to me from God that everything was going to be OK and sure enough it was.
My spunky, hot headed and yet sweet boy is 5 today. He loves Lego's and soccer. For a small boy he is sure feisty and holds his own up to his older brother!
I am so thankful that God placed him in our lives. I know this sounds crazy but if I didn't loose our 2nd baby we wouldn't have him in our lives. All the pain and hurt my husband endured was worth the blessing God gave us 5 years ago today.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to him! I know exactly what you mean - I had a miscarriage between my 2nd and 3rd children. I was devastated and still wonder about that baby, but if that hadn't happened, my sweet Joshua wouldn't be here. It's one of those things that's hard to wrap your head around.
