Even before Thanksgiving I get the itch to watch Christmas movies. I enjoy watching wholesome family oriented movies. This year I watched Love's Christmas Journey. This movie will be airing on The Hallmark Channel Wednesday, December 5th.
Inspired by the best-selling Love Comes Softly book franchise written by Janette Oke, the first-ever uplifting, almost 3 hour, Christmas story in the series.
Movie Synoposis:
While still mourning the loss of her husband and daughter, recently widowed Ellie King (Natalie Hall) visits her brother Aaron Davis (Greg Vaughan) and his children for Christmas. Ellie agrees to watch her brother's children when he has to leave town. When a fire is set, Ellie works with a handsome deputy to clear a friends name and learns that if she can trust her faith, this Christmas may bring more miracles than she hoped. Starring: Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Ernest Borgnine (Dirty Dozen), JoBeth Williams (Frasier), Charles Shaughnessy (The Nanny), Rebecca Hall (Pretty Little Liars), Dylan Bruce (As the World Turns), Greg Vaughan (General Hospital).
Love's Christmas Journey had a little bit of everything in it! What a roller coaster movie! It's a love story based on hope and faith with quite a few suspenseful portions! I enjoy movies that take you make to a time of family with a wholesome message! This day in age there are not too many movies that portray what Christmas is really about - Christ. Family unity and a town sticking together brings Christmas alive and hopeful in Love's Christmas Journey! It's the kind of Christmas movie you do not want to miss!
