Let it snow! (Day 4)

Let it snow! (Day 4) - our last day of Let it snow!

We are having a short fun filled activity homeschool day. Today is our 1st day of our county fair, so we are going early afternoon.

Art / for fun

The shredding I had in the dishpan, I kept & decided the boys could make snowman I-spy.
Materials needed: empty clean & dry water bottle w/ top, shredded paper, cystalized stickers (I used winter type, then I stuck them together back to back), clear packing tape for the bottle cap, & a funnel.

We didn't fill the bottle too full or else you wouldn't be able to see the items inside.

The boys looking for their snowmen & snowflakes!

Science
I took more shredding, put in a dishpan, I printed off 7 animals that live in the snow, I mixed them in the paper shredding (which was to represent snow), I had the boys look for the animals.

He matched the correct clothing to the particular outdoor element.

  5. I love your idea for Snowmen I spy. One of our favorite games is I spy, but Selena likes a broader approach, hidden things in pictures, or in the house.

  7. I love the ideas with the shredded paper. The girls would LOVE the mess and enjoy hunting through the paper. I haven't embraced this game yet, but I might this week.
