Here are a few of my favorite homeschool lessons with my Kindergartener!
The 1st was our human body unit study
Here is a lapbook we did
HERE is the full post on this unit study
Then one of our favorite homeschool group field trips was the kids singing at the nursing home last Christmas, look forward to doing this again this year.
One of my absolute favorite paintings my son did a few months back for my mom's birthday. This was the 2nd time he ever painted on a canvas!
(grass, bird, flower & sun)
I know I will have many more favorites, we have a lot of neat stuff coming up such as going dipnetting with our homeschool group this Friday. Plus I have a planting seeds homeschool co-op post I will be posting later this week. That was an awesome activity - come back & check it out. There are lots of hands on activities that we did.
Just because my series of It's Cool to Homeschool is ending, please feel free to come back & check out all the other homeschool posts I will be doing throughout our homeschool years!
I don't know about you but I often think homeschool is misunderstood by those that are not fully educated about ALL the aspects of it. It's amazing how many people I have explained homeschooling to that didn't know everything about it and now they understand why family chooses to homeschool. Always keep in mind when others look at you and think homeschooling is silly, remember:

Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWe KNOW we will either homeschool our kids or go the private school route (Haven't checked it out yet so it's a possibility).
Nice knowing I've got a handy resource right here (we don't even know where to begin!!!). :)
Stopping by from the Home Grown Families link-up! Now a follower! :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am not on my computer so I cannot post pictures at this time :( but our favorite home school lesson, thus far, was a shark unit study we did last year. My girls (ages 6 1/2 and 5) really got into it so it transformed from what was to be a week long study to nearly a month. They made lapbooks and did an online tour of a shark aquarium...and so much more! Everyday is interesting and adventurous in our house! And most days I lose very little hair!!! LOL. Home schooling is right for our family and I do not think any family should rule it out before they truly look into it as an option! It is a beautiful journey!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my Blog Frog Community! I'm your newest follower. Looking forward to reading.
