HOMESCHOOL VILLAGE - WHAT IS MY HISTORY?

This week at The Homeschool Village we are going to chat History - you're personal history! When did homeschooling touch your timeline? Did you know you'd be a homeschooler at conception, or like me ... you had never considered it (and was talked into it by your spouse)? Did someone help you get started?

I knew when I was pregnant w/ our 1st child that God made it VERY clear to me to quit my job and stay at home. As he grew and we had another child I was amazed how fast time went by and how badly I didn't want to miss any part of their life. The more and more I learned about our local public schools and as a Christian I knew it wasn't for our family. I had considered homeschool but it made me nervous but when God blessed me by brining a great person and really good friend of mine into my life, April at Our Hope is in the Lord she encouraged me greatly and I felt as if God spoke through her to me that this is what He wanted my ministry to be. Prior to meeting April I was uneducated about homeschooling but the more and more I learn the more I know this is what God wants for my family. I am very blessed to have close friends, our homeschool group and blog friends were I find encouragement and direction from! Look at these guys........... I don't want to miss even a second of their young life!

I currently homeschool my 5 year old, 3 year old & do Montessori with my 16 month
PLUS here is our future homeschooler!

  9. I loved your story of how you were led to homeschooling! I can relate totally to not wanting to miss a second of your children’s lives. My children grew up before I knew it, but I’m SO thankful that I was able to spend so much time with them through homeschooling. Not only was it the best education for them, but it made us so much closer as well.
