Thursday A Mommy's Adventures does a really fun blog carnival every Thursday - read your child a story then accompany it with art!
The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle
Every Wednesday my 3 kids & I go to CBS (Community Bible Study) they go to their own classrooms & are taught a Bible Lesson & they do a craft with the lesson for 2 hours. They have Bible Verses to memorize, etc. While I go in with my core group and do a Bible Study. What a blessing these women are who take care of our children while we are able to go draw close to the Lord. So as a small token of thank you my boys & I made them "thank you" flowers for them!
I printed off a simple coloring page (2 for each child) - before I printed it I enlarged the page in Microsoft Word, had my 5 year old, paint the flowers, cut out all the pieces, glue it together because both sides are the same and glue the flower parts to a pipe cleaner for the stem!

I love Eric Carle and I've never heard of this book! Definitely will be one I look for. Thanks for sharing!

p.s. adorable blog!
Homeschooling is something I have seriously considered for my kids---I'm not sure the education they are getting is worth the private school tuition.
