CHRISTMAS LESSONS, CHRISTMAS CRAFTS & ON-LINE RESOURCES!

It's now December, time to pull out our Advent book and following each day to the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We are using The Story of Christmas Advent Book
Day 1
Gabriel Visits Mary
Luke 1:26-32

The activity was to make angel ornament

Here are a few more activities we did this week as well:

painting wooden ornaments
Here is the outcome of a 1 year old coloring her ornamnet with marker

Pinecone Christmas Tree Craft:
I love this craft because it reallty didn't cost me anything - I got the pinecones from our park & the other materials I have had for awhile!
materials needed:
pinecone
green paint
small pom poms
glue
ribbon

paint pinecone with green paint

glue pom poms throughout the pinecone

Once everything is dry wrap a ribbon around the top and hang it from your Christmas tree!

Here are some of the resources we have that I will be incorporating into our Christmas lessons
I found some other GREAT on-line resources we will also be incorporating into our lesson:

Kindergarten / 1st grade
Christmas Math (addition) file folder game

Preschool
Carissa at 1+1+1=1, has put together an awesome Nativity Preschool Pack AND More Christmas Fun
I slipped most of the pages into clear page covers, I will laminate the small pieces and then I put this pack into it's own folder. My preschooler will use dry erase markers on some of these pages and using the clear page covers he can erase them and do them over again!
Preschool Colors / Candy Cane Match file folder game

AND if you sign up for Currclick on FACEBOOK they are offering free unit studies - they post a free code to use when checking out, I was able to print Brr It's Cold for free after using code cold. It's a jammed packed lesson for preschoolers, matching colors, shapes, sizes, alphabet and more!
I printed this off and put it in a folder of it's own with the page covers and will laminate the pieces to go with it.

Check back each week to see our Advent activities and Christmas crafts some with tutorials!

We link up weekly at the following awesome homeschool blogs!
