CHRISTmas NATIVITY CRAFTS

JJ 5 years
Jumping Bean 40 months

Here are some of the crafts we did throughout our week!

My 5 year old made this at CBS, they used foam sheets & made handprint Baby Jesus.
How to make a coffee filter Star of  Bethlem
Take coffee filters, have your child color them with WASHABLE MARKERS (NOT permnament)
Then with water in a spray bottle spray the colored coffee filter

Let dry in the sun, using a star cookie cutter traced stars on the filter

Cut out the stars, taped them on our backsliding door
We were only going to do one star but they turned out so pretty that there was enough of the filter left so my boys did 3 each! When the sun shines through them it's beautiful just like Jesus!

Then we made a Nativity Diorama

I decided not to use a shoebox but a Lance Cracker box instead because it was the smallest box we had, but any box of your choice will do!

The boys both painted the inside black (for night time)
Then they paper mached the out side of the box using a recycled paper bag
I printed off the nativity scene pictures from HERE. All 3 of my kids colored them then we glued them in the box. Next taking strips of the brown paper bag (for the hay) and gluing them as well.
I put it in our Christmas tree!
We link up here each week!

  1. Those handprint Jesus ornaments are adorable. And I also love the stars. You know, I haven't made a diorama in ages. Sounds like fun. I think I will print those figures out whether we use them for a diorama or not.
    Thanks for sharing.
