BROKEN HEARTED

I used to be a news junkie, watching the news every morning but somehow my t.v. downstairs got highjacked by 3 children! For some reason the news was on in my home today and I am in shock about the Tsuamni. I felt compelled to write somethign on my blog about it. My heart goes out to these people. To see the devestation these people have endured in Japan breaks my heart.

It is a fine reminder that we need to enjoy each day God gives us and not to take it for granted not for one second. We need to live each day as if it were our last, loving our children, spouse and those around us and most of all showing them the love of Christ! May God be glorified in the mist of this. Please my brothers and sisters pray for these people in the time of their troubles.

Those that do not know my Friend, Savior, Redeemer -- Jesus. Let me tell you about Him.
He is merciful, loving, forgiving and caring. He will NEVER leave you or forsake you.  No matter what you have done He forgives. He came to this earth to take upon your sins.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I don't know about you but mankind has let me down several times but Jesus NEVER will. Nonone has loved me or you so much to die for our sins except for Jesus.

How does one become a Christian?

Admit that you are a sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God." Romans 3: 23

Believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins by dying on the cross for you so that you don’t have to pay for your sins yourself. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. " Romans 6:23

"The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin." 1John 1:7

"If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door (of his heart), I will come in" (Rev. 3:20).

What happens when someone receives Jesus Christ into his life?

1. He becomes a child of God. John 1: 12

2. He becomes born again.
Even though the word "Born Again" has been abused, it nevertheless came from the lips of Jesus while he was talking to an old religious leader. Jesus was telling him that being religious was not enough. "Verily, verily I say unto you unless a man is born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:3

Being born again simply means that our spirit, which was dead to God because of our sin, becomes alive once we repent of all our sins and receive God’s forgiveness through Faith in Jesus Christ.
"And you he made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sin. ...But, God who is rich in mercy because of his great love with which he loves us even when we were dead in trespasses, he made us alive together with Christ." Ephesians 2:1-5

3. He becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus.
" Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new." II Corinthians 5: 17

Think about it, the choice is yours, He's waiting for you. The Bible says when someone gives their life to Christ the angels rejoice in heaven. Won't you give them another reason to celebrate today? He loves YOU!

  6. It's so devastating isn't it? It's times like these that a need for Jesus is brought into such sharp focus. (Found you from the Oh Baby! group on MBC.)

  7. Perfectly said! My husband has been in China all week. There was an earthquake 1,000 miles away - and now this in Japan. I just thank God that His angels encamp about him and protect him. I cannot wait to see him safe on Monday evening!

  8. (((Nicole))) Thank you for this! I used to live in Japan. My middle child was born there. He asked me if the hospital where he was born was still there and I honestly couldn't tell him. I have since found out that it is. We still have several friend there - missionaries! Our American friends are in Ibaraki and doing fine. Our Japanese friends live in greater Tokyo, which was not directly affected but is a mess because the trains/subways aren't running. Many people stranded! I know that it is so much better than what some areas of Japan are enduring; but, still, being stranded in Tokyo among thousands of other stranded people cannot be comforting to anyone. *sigh*

A month or so before we moved back to the U.S., five of the ladies from church went on a retreat in Tokyo. We shopped in one of the popular districts and, when we got out of the subway station, there was a literal swarm of people. We could barely keep up with each other and the main reason we did was because we all had blonde or brown hair and everyone else had black hair. I can't imagine being in a place like that during a disaster. :( I imagine that many people are just waiting it out in the subway and train stations. It is not common for the public restrooms to have toilet paper. For that reason, many companies use small tissue packets for advertising and hand them out in the streets. I never knew what those ads said, but I always accepted the tissues!

    Oooh, *sigh*!
