Here's our "Kid friendly Summer Receipe"
A few months back we purchased the VitaMix from Costco. We love it in our home. There is nothing like a refreshing smoothie after coming in from the heat. Here is one I threw together. (You can use a regular blender but you would need to let it run for quite a bit to get everything ground up.)
1 whole orange
handful of frozen strawberries
2 handfuls of fresh spinach
1 banana
handful of blueberries
1 1/2 cups of ice cubes
1 1/2 cups of water
(this is enough for 3 of my kids, my husband & myself)

I'll need to try that recipe. I've had a Vita-Mix mixer for at least 15 years. Great investment! Making smoothies is one of best ways to use it.
ReplyDeleteWe love smoothies & usually make them several times a week! So refreshing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fun in the Sun Monday! =)
Well, that answers my question if they know they're eating spinach. I need to try this on my kids again.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try some new recipes :) Thanks for hosting!

I love sneaking in veggies! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI make green smoothies all the time! The spinach is surprisingly sweet when paired with blueberries. :) Visiting from the Hop. Happy Wednesday! :)
