CEREAL BOX BLOCKS

A small break from homeschool to play........

I have seen the cardboard blocks and they can be pricey. Why pay for it?!

OK, we eat alot of cereal for breakfast. My husband came up with the idea to make cereal box blocks out of the cereal boxes. The bulk one's from Costco or BJ's work best because they are bigger. Just tape the flap closed and let your children build. Then when you are done, break them down and put them in your recycling bin!

Seriously they built and played with these cereal box blocks for over an hour! Plus the boys practiced their Karate moves for thei Karate class.

We will keep them for a few weeks stored in our garage then recyle them.

All the money in toys and they play with boxes!

  1. Looks like fun! And much less noisy than the wooden blocks we have. Think we'll have to give that a try too.

  3. So much fun!! We've collected Oatmeal cylinders to stack before but hadn't thought of keeping the cereal boxes!

  4. We should totally do this. We eat so much cereal, we could build an entire city with our empty boxes! LOL

  6. Looks like a lot of fun. Children don't need expensive toys if they are allowed to use their imagination and play like children.
