RAYOVAC PLATINUM RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES + BATTERY CHARGER (2 winners receive BOTH products)

Rayovac manufactures alkaline batteries ranging in size from AAA to 9V,  batteries with recharge times as low as 15 minutes. Rayovac also makes hearing aid batteries, lithium photo batteries and specialty batteries. In addition, a variety of portable LED flashlights and lanterns.
I had the opportunity to review Rayovac's Platinum Rechargable products:

Product Features for Platinum AA Reschargable batteries:
~ Affordable, Reusable power solutions for the entire family.
~ Pre-Charged. Batteries are charged and ready to use out of pack.
~ Low Self Discharge. Batteries stay charged longer so they are ready when you need to use them.
~ Hold their charge 2-3X longer than standard NiMH rechargeables when not in use.
~ Unlike Alkaline or Lithium batteries, Platinum rechargeables can be charged and reused 300 times.
~ Rechargeable batteries save $100’s vs. Alkaline or Lithium batteries.
~ NiMH rechargeable batteries do not have “memory effect”, meaning that it is OK if you repeatedly recharge them after only being partially discharged. NiCad batteries have “memory effect” and lose their maximum energy capacity if recharged before being fully discharged.

Product Features for Platinum Universal Charger:
~ Reduce waste and save money. Keep disposable batteries out of the landfills and save hundreds of dollars when you use rechargeable batteries versus alkaline.
~ Power station for all rechargeable battery sizes
~ Chargers 2 or 4 AA/AAA/C/D or 1 9V NiMH or NiCD batteries
~ Batteries must be charged in pairs
~ LED lights indicate charge status
~ Includes a backup safety timer that will turn charger off after 8 hours of charging
~ Compact size and fold out plug for easy portability
~ Power cord included
~ Lid keeps dust out

My Review:  4 children + toys = lots of batteries!  We use alot of batteries in our home! The expense of purchasing new batteries everytime they die is very costly. I like the idea of using chargeable batteries not only because of the expense but I like that it's better for our planet. The awesome thing is that the platinum batteries come charged right out of the pack, no more waiting for them to be charged! When I did charge the batteries I placed them in the charger overnight and early the next morning they were fully charged!

Buy It: The Platinum Rechargeable Batteries come in AAA (4 pack), AA (4 pack), C (2 pack), D (2 pack) and 9V (1 pack) and sell for $9.99 per pack. Platinum Rechargeable Batteries can be purchased directly from Rayovac. The Universal Platinum Battery Charger sells for $21.34 and can be purchased from Amazon. Sign up

Win It: Win 1 pack of AAA Platinum Batteries AND 1 Universal Charger
2 WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN (each winner will receive BOTH products)
