COLOR OF THE WEEK - ICE CREAM CONE WITH SCOOPS (ADD SCOOPS WHEN COLOR IS LEARNED)

I started color of the week with my 2 year old daughter a few weeks back, so far we have done the color red and now we are doing various color which I will post about at a later time.

Meanwhile I wanted to share with this fun activity with you that I am incorporating into our color of the week lessons.

Each time she has learned a new color and she remembers what color it is each time I ask her I have her add a new scoop to her ice cream cone, I printed this off at First School. I laminated each scoop and cone then plce velcro on each scoop so my daughter can add her scroop. Then I hung it on her Montessori/learning cabinet. She likes it, its her reward each time she learns a new color and I let her do it by herself. When she eventually learns all her colors she will have a BIG cone!

  1. This is such a great idea! Baby T loves ice cream cones, and he's also learning his colors. I can't wait to try this with him!
