SMARTIES AT FAMILY DOLLAR - THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS STOCKING STUFFER! #Cbias #IAmaSmartie

My children and I went shopping at Family Dollar to pick up a few Christmas related items. With my 4 children in tow (3 of them fell asleep in the car on the way there). My 6 year old (he's such a great helper) pushed his 4 year old brother in the stroller and I pushed my 2 year old and baby in the other stroller. (a friendly tip - the aisles are narrow do not use a double stroller in this store, we managed but it wasn't easy)

Prepared for my shopping trip  I printed off a few in-store coupons for additional savings. I needed to purchase some tissue paper to wrap my kids Bible Study teacher's Christmas gifts in and pick up a few small stocking stuffers for my children.

When we walked in they had so many great deals posted in the toy department that we couldn't resist looking.

We headed for the candy aisle because every year in my kids stockings I add a few yummy little treats. This year I have decided to keep our whole Christmas small and simple. So I chose one candy that I knew they would all enjoy - SMARTIES! They are not messy, the portion is the perfect size for children or adult and they are fun to eat!

I was pleasantly surprised that for a 6 oz bag it only cost $1.00! Very affordable especially when I will be adding them in 3 of my children's Christmas stockings! Then I picked up a few small toys for my kids Christmas stockings.

I have really never shopped very much at Family Dollar - I was really impressed with their selection and how affordable the prices are!

When we got home I decided to allow my children to have a few Smarties a bit early, saving some for their Christmas stockings too.

What are you planning to but in your children's Christmas stockings this Christmas? Smarties is the perfect stocking stuffer - they are fun to eat, affordable, not messy and festive!

  1. I will have to stop in the Family Dollar, we need smarties for a project at the school.

For my 2nd grader's stocking, he is getting peanut m/ms, a little bag of star wars candy, a pkg of angry birds stickers (made in the USA! Found at Walmart). A little Angry Birds backpack clip, and the Horton Hears a Who movie (got cheap on black friday).

For the 18 month old he'll get some goldfish crackers and a few m/ms. :)
