QUICK TIP (ORGANIZATION + STORAGE OF TEENY TINY TOYS)

Do you have this problem?

My children have some tiny toys. My daughter got some Lalaloopsy Dolls for Christmas with teeny tiny accessories. Prior to Christmas she had Polly Pockets with the same thing tiny accessories. I had them stored in a Rubbermaid food storage container. After Christmas I realized it was crazy to keep it all sepereate in all these different containers, we do not have the room for that. I need to keep it all under lock in key where my baby can't get to it. So I went to the craft store and purchased a jewelry organizer case. Separated all the pieces - all Polly Pockets in one area, Cinderella in another, Lalaloopsy Dolls in another, etc.

These cases are pretty cheap, I had a coupon which made it less than $5.00. The clips on the case keep it from opening are perfect because the baby can't open it. These cases can be used for Lego's, Barbie accessories, make-up, etc. Perfect solution for keeping organized!

  1. Love it! I just purchased a couple of these for my daughters beads and what not from crafty bday presents. Didn't think of doing it for little toys! My 3 yr old would love it too... she loves little holders and such! :)

  3. That is an EXCELLENT idea! I suspect it'll only get worse as they get older and we're really planning on #3 so might as well get started now. :)

  4. I need some of those for my boys room. They have all these little action figures and cars laying all over the place. Oh and lets not forget the legos!

  5. Great idea! I'll have to pick one up the next time I'm there. I seem to step on several arms and pointed blocks as I walk through the living room.

  7. interesting way to keep track of small parts.

I'm 8 months pregnant and my family avoided small toys this christmas in preparation for the baby eventually crawling and such. Makes me feel bad because I don't think it's fair to the two I currently have so nice to see there is alternatives out there

  12. I found that proper storage of toys like this made all the difference to whether kids would continue to play with them or not.

  16. Smart idea. We don't have anything with tiny little pieces in our house but its always a great reminder that sometimes we need to look beyond the obvious to find storage solutions.
