I am sure you can relate, some of my kids give me a hard time eating veggies. I hide them in smoothies daily but I am always looking for new ways to incorporate them into our meals without them realizing it!
I came up on a whim a pasta veggie dish.
Ingredients:
Vegetable Bow ties noodles
Broccoli
Carrots
Squash
Butter
Sea Salt
Mince up all veggies, boil the noodles and veggies altogether for about 10-12 minutes
Strain, add a bit of butter (I use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter) and add Real Sea Salt.
Look how colorful it is! My kids ate most of it all up, they liked the colorful and brightness of the dish! However, they did realize that I snuck in the veggies, time to think of another way to hide the veggies for next time!
I love the colors in this, but I don't think you got them cut up small enough to hide, lol! Thanks for the idea.

ReplyDeleteHello! I remember when my daughter was little she was a very picker eater. I had to make baby food just so she'd eat. When she was little I used to give her what I called chicken strips and she loved them. I told her eventually they were fish sticks.Lol! She loves fish now so I know if I hadn't of tricked her she probably wouldn't like fish. I used to hide veggies in lasagna and it worked like a charm.Another thing I used to do was make macoroni surprise. I put sausage, corn, broccoli, baby carrots in it and she loved it. I hope that gives you some help. I got to go back and enter some more of your awesome giveaways! Thanks again for everything you do to make all your blogger followers happy. The giveaways are so awesome! God Bless!

ReplyDeleteI know what you are saying about hiding veggies. My five year old son does not any type of vegetable, so I am forever trying to hide them in everything he eats so that he is getting them. My daughter on the other hand could eat veggies morning, noon, and night. I will have to try this to see if my son will go for it. Thanks for the post!
