My kids made these graham cracker flag cookies in church Sunday but using frosting and candy. My kids had so much fun making them at church so we made them at home too. I wanted to make them with my kids using healthier items.
Ingredients:
Fresh sliced strawberries
Cool Whip
Blue sugar topping
Plain Graham crackers
Index card with a square cut out of the top left
1st have your child smooth on Cool Whip
Start adding strawberry slices for the red strips -- leave a area free in the top left for the blue
My son cut a square opening on the left of the index card to place over the graham cracker so that the blue topping is only sprinkled in this location.
Sprinkle the blue topping (ours was sugar --- they used very little)
This is the finished product! They even made my husband one! My oldest (7 years) said it was yummy and he had fun making it!
Happy 4th of July!
