I admit sweets are my downfall especially ice cream! Nothing like ice cold ice-cream on a hot summer day, right? My problem with ice cream is that I have a hard time eating it in moderation! I could easily sit with the whole carton in front of me if I allowed myself to do so but that is not a good idea! Edy's / Dreyer's has come up with the perfect solution to my ice cream addition - Slow Churned! With 1/3 Fewer Calories and 1/2 the fat than regular ice cream! Plus they have it in a 5.8 Fl OZ container with helps me with not over indulging!
The Slow Churned with very smooth and creamy in taste and definitely hits my sweet spot! AND you can't even taste that it's less the fat and calories!
This summer Dreyer's / Edy's Slow Churned Light Ice Cream is giving away 25,000 scoops of ice cream as part of their "A Reason to Smile" campaign to support Operation Smile.
Traveling around the country, they will give consumers a free scoop of Slow Churned and capture the smile on their face when they realize the ice cream they are eating has all the flavor, but half the fat. For every "ice cream" smile photo captured at an event or uploaded to the Dreyer's / Edy's Facebook page, $5 will be donated to Operation Smile. The goal is to capture more than 25,000 smiles, which will allow Operation Smile to complete more than 500 reconstructive surgeries on children with cleft palates and other facial deformities.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful program Edy's & Dreyer's are doing! You dont hear a lot at all about children born with cleft palates and other facial deformities. Much less the cost to repair the deformities & what they go through to have them repaired. Thumbs up to Edy's & Dreyer's!
