We make chocolate fondue one time a year as a treat for our family. My kids really enjoyed it and if they had the choice would want to do it everyday. This recipe is my mother-in-laws recipe that was passed down to my husband. I am sharing with you so you too can enjoy it!
Chocolate Ingredients:
Milk Chocolate Bars (the really big ones)
Milk or Cream (depending on how thick you want it and how much chocolate you use) - how thick do you want it while dipping.
Decaff coffee (enhances the flavor of chocolate) no more than a teaspoon.
Dipping Ingredients:
Marshmallows
Strawberries
Angel Food Cake
Bananas
Maraschino Cherries
Make your Chocolate Dipping sauce in our fondue by adding your chocolate bar keep mixing till fully melted, next add your cream or milk to the chocolate then the tablespoon of coffee. Mix all together to have a nice creamy chocolate sauce.
We didn't allow our children to dip in the hot fondue pot, afraid they may burn themselves so we gave them a dollop of chocolate on their plates to dip their dipping ingredients in.
Stay tuned for my pizza fondue recipe, coming soon!
