We were coming home from out to dinner when my husband and I were admiring the moon and how beautiful it lite up night sky, our kids heard us and were admiring it too. So when we got home my husband pulled out our telescope and set it up so the kids could see the moon up close. He was homeschooling them in the night time outdoors - it was fun to watch! Nice break for me, mom!
As he held the littler ones up so they could see we both got a kick of their reactions, it was a great night for getting to learn about the moon!

ReplyDeleteThat's great! I used to have a telescope when I was a kid. I lived in Alaska though and the only time it was dark enough at night to see anything, it was also below zero :P I'd bundle up and head out to look at moon craters. Can't wait until mine are old enough to appreciate planets! For now we use the Google Star map app to teach my 3 year old about planets and stars :)
