ORGANIZING CORDS WITH PLASTIC BREAD TIES

Our kitchen seems to be the place we store our tablets and phones when not in use. Which is an accident waiting to happen. Cords and electronics stretched on the counter top, what if we spilled something on it by accident?

Our two boys both have the same tablets while my husband and I both have different tablets and phones. This means different chargers. They all look the same to me and have often plugged the chargers into the wrong devices. What is the solution?

Bread ties!

These nifty little plastic bread ties make a great cord organizer. They can simply slip through the cord. You can either use a Sharpie marker or a label maker (which is what I used) and label the cord. So now I know who's phone cord it who's or who's tablet cord is who's.

Office Depot carries these office organizers which we are using, each tablet has it's own shelf. When we need to charge one of the items, we look at the bread tie tag and match it up to the correct electronic! So much better than cords and electronics all over my kitchen counter!

  4. This is a great idea. We have tons of cords and it's annoying to have to try to follow each one along to see what goes to what when something isn't working or needs unplugged.

  7. This one is so simple it makes me wonder why I never knew before. I LOVE this. I cannot tell you how frustrated I get at my computer. I have a big surge protector, and I have so many cords just to charge up my computer, wireless, tv, phone, etc

  11. I always save those bread ties and use them for almost everything (except for cables, which is a very good idea!)
