I have never cut the back of my 4 year old daughters hair, it is so pretty that I have decided to keep it long. She is a total girly girl. She likes bows and hair clips in her hair all the time. I have made her several hair bows and friends have given me their daughter's hand me down hair clips plus I have purchased some for her. I have so many that storing them has become a problem. I was storing them in a basket all thrown together this drove me crazy. Every time I would go to do her hair I couldn't find the matching set so I can up with a solution.
Before
I went to the craft store and purchased a two sided sewing organizer. I separated all her hair clips and ponytail holders all by color in each compartment.
After --- side 1
Side 2, above is the case closed
When I pull our her clothes for the day I can easily find matching hair clips!

This is a great idea! Wish I would have thought of this years ago when Em was little. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! It probably makes them so easy to find.
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously a genius idea! I wish I'd thought of it when my teen was little and wearing all those little clips :) I'm still going to show her your idea, because she still has a few bobby pins, and other goodies for her hair, and I think she could use this. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! I'm a storage and organization junkie so this is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteThat is so simple yet brilliant! I don't have a girl, but I have a lot of hair clips for myself! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is so smart! I babysat my 3 month old niece the other day and was shocked how many hair accesories she has already - i'm sure she'll need a system like this within a year at least.
ReplyDeleteI need to do this! My 3 year old has SO many hair ribbons. Great ideas!
ReplyDeletePinned them to a Beauty products Organizer Board!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! We don't have little girls anymore, but we still do have our fair share of hair ribbons, barrettes, etc. Right now they are all shoved in an old baby wipe container. This would be much nicer!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. If I did something like this, I would spend so much time trying to find the ones I need when I need them :)
ReplyDeletewhat a super tip! WOW you've got a lot of bow and clips--My daughter wasn't into them so much =]
ReplyDeleteI think anything organized like this is such a treat, especially for little girls. This is really great. I could think of 10 things I could do with an organizer like this!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of this? LOL I'm totally doing this! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Hair clips can get out of control fast.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea! We, too, suffer the over-abundance of hair accouterments and I'm always digging for matching sets or a specific color I need. Love this!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I am always loosing my daughters hair bows!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I too have resorted to storing my girly girl's hair accessories in a big basket, it's such a mess. And too many to hang on a cute board. I think this would work well for us.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Sarah
