Let it snow (day 2)

Let it snow
Day 2

We began our morning with Bible verse: Psalm 51:7 (New Living Translation)
Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
JJ wrote out the Bible verse

Then to illustrate to JJ I made a black snowman on a dry erase board that represented our sin, had him erase the black snowman (to illustrate "dirt" like out sins) & explained to him that Jesus is the one that erases our sin & makes us clean (whiter than snow) then I had him draw a new white snowman to represent the washing away of sin.

Now the snowman is smiling because Jesus cleaned the sin!

Math
JJ did a simple addition snowflake math worksheet

Books we read

Arts & crafts
Using painter's tape I taped down strips of tape making snowflake designs on construction paper, then the boys painted with white paint the paper, we peeled the tape off & viola snowflakes. I saw this idea on a blog (I can't remember who's blog, so if it's on your blog please let me know so I can give you the credit).

Then we baked cookies, this was spur of the moment so I used what I had in the fridge Immaculate baking.company cookies. When I took them out of the package, I left them 3 in a row, JJ & I decorated them with little candies for the eyes, buttons, nose & mouth.

Be sure to come back & see our let it snow adventure for Day 3!
