We started off my a hand eye coordination activity. I gave them each wooden spoons & 1 candy heart chocolate, they had to walk with it from the livingroom, thru the kitche, thru the hallway & back to the livingroom without the heart falling off the spoon.
Then I made them a tent in our livingroom (it wasn't a very good tent) ok, it was a horrible tent! None the less my boys liked it. In the tent my kids opened their goodie bags from a Valentine's Day party we had with one of our homeschool groups yesterday, they looked at all their nice cards from their friends. I read them their Bible, then I read them the following books:
The kids in their tent
The boys going through their Valentine's from our homeschool Valentine's Party 2/11/10
I drew 1/2 a heart on paper & had JJ cut it out - great for scissor exercise! Thank you Activity Mom for sharing your idea! He made 2 of them for my parents to give to them for Valentine's Day.
Then both my boys played Achy- Breaky Hearts
Then to end the day JJ & I made strawberry Jello in our heart tray. Got a little messy!
We had a nice time my oldest liked no homeschooling for the day!
looks like you had lots of fun with the kids..:)stopping by to say, hi!
