Jumping Bean is 33 months
This week we learned about frogs!
We went to our neighborhood lake & caught 8 tadpoles, we have them in a bucket & are going to watch them grow.
Then using a magnet set from Learning Resources we learned about the lifecycle of a frog, matching them up
I printed off these pattern cards from Making Learning Fun, glued them on the back of a recycled cereal box for sturdiness then had my tot match the shape above the frog to the matching shape on the lilly pad - this was his favorite & probably did these cards about 4 times this week!
Then I printed Frog Food File Folder Game for him to match the dragon fly to the same color frog

I am such a sucker for all things frogs. My kids love frogs.
ReplyDeleteI love the color matching game! Great!

ReplyDeleteOh, how fun! I can't wait until my 27 month old is big enough to get a better grasp on things like this...all this fun boy stuff!

I had tadpoles once. They died :( I hope yours have a much happier ending!
ReplyDeleteoo such a fun idea! My son would love this. I will have to go on a tadpole hunt!
ReplyDeleteThose are great! My little one likes frogs and calls all of them Jeremy Fisher (from Beatrix Potter) and I see a frog week in our future!
