Obeying Devotional & Blowing Up a Balloon

I recently purchased my son Fun Devotions For Boys - Gotta Have God he really has taken to it. He enjoys the activities that go with every devotional. Yesterday our devotional was on obeying. The activitity that went with it was if you obey the instructions a balloon will blow up by itself! So not only did we spend time with the Lord but we did Science at the same time!
Pour 4 tsp of baking soda in a plastic bottle
Pour vinegar in bottle over the baking soda
QUICKLY but the balloon over the top of the bottle
It worked! We did this a few times, the boys LOVED this & it was a great way to continue to teach on obeying.

  6. All of my kids would love this! Devotional lessons "stick" so much better when there are life examples to demonstrate.

  8. This experiment works with yeast, too - just not as dramatically. I'll have to check out the devotional book - it sounds exciting.
