Tadpoles & Frogs (Lifecycle) Part 1

This week's lesson was all triggered by this little guy outside our front door. That is the beauty of homeschooling!
We went & caught tadpoles in our neighborhood lake
We caught 8 teeny tine tadpoles (they must have been 1 day or so old)
We will be keeping our tadpoles to watch a live lifecycle process from tadpole to frog. JJ is jouranling them almost daily, when we see them eat, etc.
learning about the lifecycle

Stay tunned as we are will be posting our tadpoles growth progress!

  11. We've wanted to do a frog life cycle but we had very little rain so our nearby water never stayed wet for long last year. I'm hoping that this year will bring more rain or we'll be begging for someone closer to water to keep an eye out for us.

We did a life cycle of the butterfly last year which was a lot of fun. The boys had a blast checking the caterpillars everyday to see what was happening.
