MYSTERY OF HISTORY WEEK 4 (NOAH'S ARK) CO-OP

Week 4 ~ Noah's Ark
Homeschool Co-op
Mystery of History

This week our lesson was on Noah. It was my week to teach the co-op so I was unable to take pictures of the group gathering. However, here is the craft we did togehter as a group, the kids made a rainbow out of 1/2 of a paper plate, then the on the raindrops they wrote promises to God. For my child I will have him pray daily about these promises.

Here are some pictures of some of the weekly activities I did with JJ leading up to this week's co-op.

Art:
We did go through the color wheel, learning what colors are primary & secondary.

Some of the resources we used to put in our co-op notebook. These we incoporated with our daily handwriting and crafts.

Science:
We wanted to make our own rainbow.
I read in one of our Science experiment books that you coulg make your own rainbow!
Filling a clear glass with water to the brim, placing it on top of a plain white piece of paper in a window (needs to be sunny outside). We saw a rainbow across our page!
(see it? It's faint across the page diagonally)

  1. We are using the Mystery of History volume 1 as part of the Winter Promise Quest for the Ancient World curriculum. It is a BIG book full of ideas for hands-on projects as well as lessons in small chunks. Sounds like the Noah's Ark lesson went well!
