Big Bible Town is the first and only online game that immerses K-6 children in scripture-based Bible adventures with gameplay that teaches Christian values and encourages kids to put their faith into practice. How Does It Work?  BIG Bible Town is a multi-player online game set in a 1^st century virtual world.  The objective of the game is to create your own unique BIG Bible Town homestead, while also building a vibrant, church-centric BIG Bible Town.  With their parent’s permission, kids first sign up for a free account, where they can customize their game character and begin earning game coins by playing the two Bible adventures that come with their free account - Noah’s Ark and Zacchaeus the Tax Collector.  Kids can then use their game coins to purchase virtual items for their homestead. 

 What Will Kids Learn?  BIG Bible Town is a fun, game-based learning experience that promotes a high degree of Biblical literacy and a love of the scriptures.  The game is scripturally accurate and does not promote a particular denominational viewpoint.  Third Day Games has developed over 90 Bible adventures and will be adding several to BIG Bible Town each month. 

 My Review:

My oldest son is a typical boy who loves playing video games and defintely into superhero's. It's so hard to find games that do not have violence in them let alone teach Biblical values. When Big Bible Town approached me to do a review for them it was a prayer answered. My son enjoys playing Big Bible Town, growing his character that he has chosen during them game and the best thing is that he is learning the Bible at the same time. He is learning while he plays, I have seen a difference in how he is abtaining God's Word. Like myself he is a visual learner so playing Big Bible Town has been perfect for him to not only hear God's Word as he plays but he has the visual graphics in the game. Once reached to certain places in the game scripture is read aloud. As he plays the game I adjust the speakers on the computer so they are loud enough for everyone in our home to hear it. This game is perfect for children who not only enjoy playing video or computer games but perfect for our children to learn God's Word.  Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. A $5.99 monthly subscription (or 3 month subscription $15.99, 6 months $29.99, 12 months $55.99) to BIG Bible Town allows kids to unlock three new Bible adventures each month.  Playing these additional games strengthens kids’ Bible knowledge and earns additional game coins for upgrading their homestead with such designs as the Roman Villa, the Ark House, and the Pyramid House.   Additional member privileges help kids build a bigger BIG Bible Town.  For example, members can donate a portion of their game coins as virtual tithes and offerings to their BIG Bible Town church and then use them to build the downtown, school, and park areas of their town.  Members can also invite their friends to join their town.  As citizens of each other’s towns, they can work together to help each other grow their church and build their BIG Bible Town.
