DYI POM POM MAGNETS FOR MOSAIC PAGES (GREAT FOR TEACHING WITH)

My 2 year old daughter enjoys magnet / mosaic pages, I made her some during Easter, some I print off from various web-sites. I was going to purchase the circular magnets for her to use with these pages but I wasn't thrilled with the price of them. Why can't I make them myself? So I did, Target has the sparkly pom poms on sale in their $1.00 area right now too!

Materials needed:
pom poms
scissors
glue
magnets (I used the magnets I get in my junk mail with advertisements on them)
this whole project cost me a $1.00!

I cut the magnets into small strips, glued (using ALOT of glue) the advertisement side to the back of the pom pom, let them dry overnight

Then at the dollar store I bought her a baking pan for her to use her pom pom magnets with the mosaic pages. She places the pom pom magnets in the circles on the pages. We played games too, I would say place the pink one here (great for learning colors). Plus you can teach patterns with them too!

You can find mosaic pages on Child Careland or at Make Learning Fun.

  2. We love our pom pom magnets. I DO need to go get some more magnets so that I can make the pretty spikey balls instead of our soft 'plain' ones :).
