SNAIL UNIT STUDY

We found a new animal to learn about at my father in laws - snails! I have to admit I was facinated myself! Look at the pictures! We observed them outside for 2 nights! So much so that when we got back home we wanted to learn more about them, plus we took 2 of them home as pets!

This snail was eating this flower!
We made this lapbooks, using resources from:
Homeschool Share
Plus I used Evan Moore's Giant Science Resources Book

Then we made snail cookies - from homemade sugar cookies!

What a fascinating little  critter animal - so much to learn!

  4. What a cute study! Snails are interesting, but I'm not sure I would want them as a pet! LOL (We observed a 1/2 inch long frog today and then returned it to its home outside! LOL) Lapbooks are wonderful and that cookie is very creative!
