I LOVE Pinterest, it can be so addicting! I was looking up Thanksgiving crafts recently and I came across hand turkey's. I added my own twist on it, adding the pilgrim hats and the hairbow and a few more things.
Here are our my kids turkey handprint -- I call them our turkey kids!
Materials needed:
Card Stock
Clothes Pins
Crayons, Scissors, Pencil
Googly eyes
I traced all 4 of my children's hands, cut them out and had them color them - their color choice
then they painted their clothes pins (I painted & colored the baby's)
Then they glued the googly eyes on, out of scrap paper I made the wattles and we glued them on. I made free hand the pilgrim hats for my boys and I took thin ribbon and we glued a hairbow on my daughter's turkey. Then when the clothes pins dried we opened them up and clipped on their "legs".
My 6 year old My 4 year old
My 2 year old My 11 month baby
I will keep these for next year - these are one of my favorite crafts we have done - I think next year we will do the whole family including my husband & I and hopefully another baby ;) making it a family of 7.
Yay for big families - Even turkey ones ;)
