I have to say I do not like to cook - Julia Childs I am not! I am not good at it, I try to make new things occasionally when I am inspired and get bored of the same old same old. Recipes have to be easy and quick for me - life is constantly busy!
Here is a breakfast I made my family recently, simple and yet yummy.
Banana Vanilla Cinnamon French Toast (WHAT A MOUTH FULL!)
Ingredients:
Bread (I use wheat bread)
eggs
almond milk
cinnamon sugar (that I have mixed equal parts in a shaker bottle)
vanilla
cooking spray
Agave Nectar
bananas
Make mixture for bread (a few eggs, almond milk, cinnamon sugar mix, vanilla) Mix together
Dip bread into mixture both sides
Cook on both sides (use cooking spray in pan before putting bread in pan)
Cut up, top with agave nectar and sliced bananas - Viola! My kids loved it - nice change from boring typical french toast!
Vanilla, banana and cinnammon sounds like a fabulous combination!
ReplyDeleteLook yummy! I have been wanting to try crock pot french toast!
ReplyDeleteBIG fans of french toast here at our house! Might have to try this one.....although, my kids usually frown upon me trying "new" things. LOL I guess I do tend to stick to the few things I can actually make good :)
