A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO ORGANIZING & STORING GIRLS HAIR CLIPS

I have never cut the back of my 4 year old daughters hair, it is so pretty that I have decided to keep it long. She is a total girly girl. She likes bows and hair clips in her hair all the time. I have made her several hair bows and friends have given me their daughter's hand me down hair clips plus I have purchased some for her.  I have so many that storing them has become a problem. I was storing them in a basket all thrown together this drove me crazy. Every time I would go to do her hair I couldn't find the matching set so I can up with a solution.

Before

I went to the craft store and purchased a two sided sewing organizer. I separated all her hair clips and ponytail holders all by color in each compartment.

Side 2, above is the case closed

When I pull our her clothes for the day I can easily find matching hair clips!

  3. This is seriously a genius idea! I wish I'd thought of it when my teen was little and wearing all those little clips :) I'm still going to show her your idea, because she still has a few bobby pins, and other goodies for her hair, and I think she could use this. Thanks for sharing :)

  6. This is so smart! I babysat my 3 month old niece the other day and was shocked how many hair accesories she has already - i'm sure she'll need a system like this within a year at least.

  9. Great idea! We don't have little girls anymore, but we still do have our fair share of hair ribbons, barrettes, etc. Right now they are all shoved in an old baby wipe container. This would be much nicer!

  15. This is a fantastic idea! We, too, suffer the over-abundance of hair accouterments and I'm always digging for matching sets or a specific color I need. Love this!

  17. Great idea. I too have resorted to storing my girly girl's hair accessories in a big basket, it's such a mess. And too many to hang on a cute board. I think this would work well for us.
    Thank you
