4TH OF JULY HEALTHY REFRESHING DESSERT (KID APPROVED!)

I have been teaching my kids about what the 4th of July is, reading books about it and accompanying it with fun activities. I wanted to come up with a fun and yet healthy 4th of July yummy dessert for them. Here is what I came up with.....

Ingredients:
10 Fresh Strawberries
1 Cup Fresh Blueberries
Plain Greek Yogurt
(served 4)

In my VitaMix I pureed the strawberries 1st leaving them a bit chunky. I left it chunky so it wasn't the consistancy of baby food - also it wasn't soupy it was a nice thick texture.
Then poured it in the bowls
Then add the greek yogurt on top of the pureed strawberries - so far there are 2 layers 1 red and 1 white
Puree the blueberries, leave a bit chunky, and then pour over your greek yogurt layer. (I left it chunky so it wasn't the consistancy of baby food - also it wasn't soupy it was a nice thick texture.)

There is your red, white and blue tasty treat! The kids wound up mixing it all up.
Even my baby LOVED it! My kids thought they were getting some fancy dessert and really it wasn't! Healthy and easy to make!

  3. This looks like it would be so refreshing on these 100+ scorcher days! I like how you left it a bit thicker and not so runny.
