This week is a very special Learn & Link in our home, my little guy turns 2 today! So our theme is a birthday theme.
I made him a Montessori birthday cake.
I had received a blog review of some frozen foods shipped to me in a Styrofoam cooler with dried ice, once I emptied it I saved the top of the cooler. I decorated the top with Sharpies and then poked holes in the top. Then I took drinking straws and cut them in 3rds.

Then I gave my son the "cake" and the "candles" (straws) for him to place into the holes in the cake. He loved this.
Plus we read some birthday books and put together the Melissa and Doug birthday cake.
Happy Birthday to my sweet boy!
