Welcome to the 1st of our Fun in the Summer Fun event! Each Monday until September 7th Mama to 4 Blessings along with Adventures of Mommydom, Sweet Diva, Harvest Moon By Hand, and Sweet Phenomena will be hosting Fun in the Summer Fun link up events.

Here's the line up:
The 1st Monday of each month: link up your "Kid friendly summer activities"
The 2nd Monday of each month: link up your "Kid friendly summer crafts"
The 3rd Monday of each month: link up your "Kid friendly summer receipes"
The 4th Monday of each month: link up your "How to stay cool in the summer heat"

Here's our "Kid friendly Summer Craft"

I purchased a long vinyl table cloth from the Dollar Tree, spread it on the back patio and gave my kids finger paints and let them go to town, after they were done I hosed it off so we can use it again! Why finger paint inside? It was alot more fun outside! And yes, they played in the hose afterwards so the mess they made on their clothes and hands / feet came off because I just let them play in the hose and get wet!

What is your Kid Friendly Summer Craft (s)?
We would love for you to share them!

  1. So smart to keep the mess outside! Looks like fun.

  2. What a great idea! I use to run an art and farm camp for kids, and doing art outside was such a highlight for them. It gives the freedom of being able to create without worrying about getting everything messy.

If you have an old bedsheet or big piece of fabric, you could also fill spray bottles with colored water and have the kids spray the color on that. Easily washable and reusable also.

  3. My kids used to love to do things like this...I miss those days....and the little handprints I'd have all over the place! I actually still have handprints and fingerprints all over the place, but they're not as little anymore! =(
Those Dollar Store tablescloths come in handy for so many things....I usually keep several on hand. =)
Enjoying our weekly link-up....have a great week!
