ONE STOP EASTER SHOP AT KMART #KmartEaster #Cbias

I admit it I can be a procrastinator. With 4 children and homeschooling life gets hectic. I realized that I hadn't gotten my kids anything for Easter yet so I went to Kmart to do my one stop Easter shop!

Prior to going I cruised their curricular. I realized I signed up on line for their Shop Your Way Rewards program as well so I went through my coupons and matched up all I could for the best pricing for Easter shopping.

Then I was headed to Kmart, when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the very nice selection of Easter items they had available.

One of the great deals I got was Peepsters are on sale buy 2 get one free, I had a coupon buy 2 get one free so I only had to pay .99 for all 3!
While my 3 little ones were in the shopping cart my 6 year old and I scoured the clearance ends caps in the toy department, looking for a few small things for my other children's Easter baskets.
We typically keep the kids Easter baskets small for 2 reasons, 1 is that I do not want to take our focus off Jesus. The real meaning of what Easter is all about and 2 we have a large family and each of my children get alot 4 Easter baskets from other family members. It can be overwhelming. So I add a few fun things in their baskets but always adding either a book or something relating to Jesus.

Some of the items I grabbed for their baskets:
Cars on sale for  .99 each
The Story of Easter $3.95
Superhero toy clearance to $1.75
Mega Bloks toy clearance to $2.99
Bunny stuffed animal $on sale from $4.99 to $3.99
Ball toy tosser $2.99
Lalaloopsy doll set on sale from $7.99 to $5.00
The Easter Story book $3.95
Princess lip gloss on clearance for .30

Then we headed for the grocery items, were  I was thrilled to find a 50% off managers special shelf! At times I feel like our kids are constantly going through a growth spurt so I stocked up and several grocery foods.
Then it was time to check out.

Checking out got a bit hectic. I had quite a bit of items and 4 grumpy children. We had been in the store for over an hour because I was enjoyed looking at all the goodies. There was a bit of trouble at the register with my coupons, the cashier had a problem taking them off but once he did I was pleased when he reached over and handed me a $5.00 Kmart gift card! Apparently since I have Shop Your Way Rewards and spending over $50.00 I got a gift card!

Once I got home I put my kids Easter goodies together, the 1st tip I want to share is that this year I did not buy Easter baskets. With 4 children that gets pricey. They range from $4.99 and up so I purchased gift bags that were $1.49 each!

The Cars toy and Peeps is for my 15 month old baby. After coupons, clearance items, sale items, Save Your Way Rewards I spent $33.38 for 4 kids for Easter!

If you haven't done your Easter shopping yet I highly recommend heading to Kmart where you will find a wonderful selection for all your Easter needs! They have alot of great sales this week!

Like Kmart on Facebook and Twitter / Twitter for offers. If you do not have a Shop Your Way Rewards  I highly recommend in getting one! It's free to join! To see my Kmart Shopping experience to purchase my Easter basket goodies  please go to my Google + to see my shopping experience.

  15. We lost our Kmart here years ago. I do miss them terribly. They are so much more better than that other big store that put them out of business in our town.

  16. WOW I probably spent more than that on one kid even though everything was on sale. I have to do better with shopping with coupons. I just don't have the patience. Nice Job!

  18. That sounds like a really fun and productive shopping trip! You did really well. I don't do much for Easter baskets myself. I bought a couple of the $.99 Cars and craft items. I reuse the same baskets every year.

  19. Super fun, I always tried to use the same basket each year. Many of my children have a basket that is nearly 20 years old.

  23. We too do smaller baskets. That isn't the real reason for the holiday so we don't want too much focus put on the gift giving side of it.
